As one element of the Monument to the Pioneers of our solar system, this skymapping Astrolabe with Neptune illustrates its own navigational path and positioning. The last planet in our solar system, it is more than 30 times as far from the Sun as Earth. Neptune is the only planet in our solar system not visible to the naked eye.
This brass planet sculpture on detailed astrolabe stand is hand-finished in the same process as those in the Museum of the Future's Orrery and includes an engraved inscription and Limited Edition markings on the bottom.
