As one element of the Monument to the Pioneers of our solar system, this skymapping Astrolabe with Mercury illustrates its own navigational path and positioning. Mercury is one of the five classical planets visible with the naked eye and is the first planet closest to the sun.
This brass planet sculpture on detailed astrolabe stand is hand-finished in the same process as those in the Museum of the Future's Orrery and includes an engraved inscription and Limited Edition markings on the bottom.
