As one element of the Monument to the Pioneers of our solar system, this skymapping Astrolabe with Uranus illustrates its own navigational path and positioning. Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and has the third-largest diameter in our solar system. One year takes about 84 Earth years and one day lasts only about 17 hours.
This brass planet sculpture on detailed astrolabe stand is hand-finished in the same process as those in the Museum of the Future's Orrery and includes an engraved inscription and Limited Edition markings on the bottom.
